Before we dive into another cracker from Paul Gallagher, I first must congratulate Scott Rush for having his death penalty annulled and the sentence been changed to life. Why the hell any country would want to snuff out the life of a small time drug mule is still as baffling as any puzzle we might ever have to face but I'm taking this as good news.

And although the poor bastard has had his young life smashed into pieces by a barbaric, intensly corrupt regime, I bet that he will still be expected to be thankful for allowing the state not to murder him. I can just see the comments now from Daily Telegraph / Herald-Sun readers quizzing the Indonesian government on why they let off such a low life like Scott Rush and why wasn't he executed like some rabid animal. I have this clear vision of the blood thirsty Indonesian prosecutors demanding from Rush, a royal kiss on their shapeless hairy arses because they have overturned his death sentence and instead, allowed him to live in sub human conditions until he dies of some slow, nasty disease in one of their dispicable prisons.

Strangely enough, I can't think of anything more relevant than the Scott Rush situation as a lead in to the next issue.
